Ok I do not know why every time I travel up to Santa Rosa I get sick as soon as I get home! EVERY TIME!!! When I went in September I took Airborne & Emergen-C with me and drank it at least twice a day and still had a mild head cold upon arriving home, this time I forgot to take any with me and I have been struggling since (ok 2 days, but still!) Last night I climbed in my bed at 6:30. I really need to feel better because I have to get my 2006 completed list up and I would like to get my 2007 to make wish list cruising along! I have found more projects yet again today while checking out some blogs and my new Crochet calendar. I am going to attempt to work with wire to see of I can make a tealight/votive holder. If it works out then there is next 2007 Christmas gifts for everyone and if not well then back to the drawing board! I have a pattern for a confederate flag that people were talking about on Crochet Partners today and my 14 yo son will LOVE it! That will be his Christmas present for 2007 for sure. I have some yarns picked out for scarves, one for my MIL (well ex but we still like each other) and one for me.
hers is the black & purples and mine is the browns & turquoise.
Now this is something I am working on for my nephews. I hope that it looks like Batman:
I really want to make a hat with this pattern on it but I haven't made a hat with a graph yet. I don't know how this will come out but I will be keeping my fingers crossed!
So far that's what I have except for the squares blanket for my last two kids! Time for more medicine!

Back from the holiday!!!
Holy moly Batman...That pretty much sums it up!
I took a giant container of yarn with me to work on a scarf for my teenage niece and some miscellaneous yarn to work on other projects as I would be hanging out chatting most of the time. Well as it turns out, one can never have enough yarn! Andrew decided he wanted a hat with ear flaps and dangley balls in black and lime green. I had the lime green, yet no black. So Saturday I hunt down Joann's and buy some black to make his hat in time for Christmas. Never made a hat with ear flaps though...hmmm, how's that going to turn out? Well I winged it and this is the final result:
Worn by a very happy recipient! My teenage nephew saw it and wanted his own, sans the balls though! I made his black and navy but forgot to take a picture! He loved it though.
I got the scarf done as well and above mentioned niece loved it! I also got many more requests for hats and scarves and a small tote bag with a pig on it! The potholders were a huge hit as well, so all in all I was quite pleased with how well received my handmade items were! I better get a move on for Valentines!
Here's the details of the scarf, Homespun in Blue Ridge, Patons SWS in Natural Earth, Patons Twister in Sandalwood Twist & Allure in Navy.
I got great gifts as well. My Brothers girlfriend got me the 2007 Crochet Pattern-a-Day Calendar, Vogue Knitting Crocheted Scarves Two, not your mama's crochet and a $10 gift card to Joann's. I also got a cordless drill, a set of drill bits, lots of bath products, and a bunch of other stuff, not crochet related either.
Glad to be home, now I have to work on my 2006 completed projects list and my 2007 project to do list! That plus find something to drill!
Happy Thursday!

Merry Christmas!
Well I will be off driving 400 miles very early in the morning...hopefully avoiding as much traffic as possible! I have a giant bin loaded with yarns and projects and will be working away in between the visiting and cookie making! I created a new project the other night, while working out a skull and crossbones graph. I was going to make a scarf and when I finished the pattern and held it up for my daughter, I came up with a fabulous idea to make it a tote! So I made a second side and a strap and viola!!!
My daughter LOVES it! I foresee a future of totes! I will be attempting to make myself a hat with a graph of the Chicago Bears logo this weekend and who knows what else will be whipped up with 3 houses of people who don't get to have me there on sight that often, making stuff up for them!
That's it for me...be back on Wednesday! Everyone have a great holiday!!!

One Week!!!
Well here we are in the final countdown! I have completed most projects and will be hitting the road on Thursday evening to drive 400 miles for Christmas! I will be taking quite a bit of yarn with me and will be mapping out local yarn stores before I go, so I can work up any last minute things I need to do while I'm visiting.
This is the other scarf made for a friend of my Daughter.
I seriously love making these scarves with all of the different yarns & textures! I will be planning out afghans after the holidays! I think that could be next years Christmas projects!
Here is a scarf that I made for my daughter, that she loves! The bright pink is Carons Bliss and oh what a wonderfully soft yarn!
I used Homespun in Edwardian, Angel Hair in Purple, Caron Bliss in Cotton Candy & Fancy Fur in Flamingo Fuchsia.
I also got the next set of potholders done!

One Step Closer!
More stuff done, but not quite enough to actually stop a breath! I got 1 scarf done for my Daughters friend and now she wants another for another friend. Good thing I have an abundant stash of fun yarns to chose from...not to mention that every time my Sister leaves her house lately she stumbles across more yarn for our fun, fun scarves! Anyhoo...this is the first scarf for my Daughters friend:
The yarns used for this one are Angel Hair by Sensations, Poof by Crystal Palace, Ping Pong by Bernat & Fun Fur.
I have started the second one using Yellows & Blues and will post picture when done.
Now this guy is hysterical!
Got him at Joann's the other day. Who can resist a Santa made from a ball of yarn!!!
That's it for me, back to hooking!

Next!
I whipped out another potholder this weekend along with finishing and starting 2 new scarves. I also went through my yarns and coordinated yarn for 3more scarves. My Daughter has requested one for a friend and well I'm not sure who the others will go to but I'm sure I will find use for them. I didn't take any pictures of the potholder yet as I figure it is just easier to do the complete set. I have scarf pictures though.
this is the one that I had started & pictured on Friday. It's done in Homespun - Tudor, Patons Divine, Patons Nuance & Fun Fur prints - Sandstone.
Now this one is funky...I used a crazy variety of yarns on this.
You can't see it too well in this picture but I will stretch in a bit when it is done to show off the stitches and yarns. It's my first time working with a ladder/ribbon yarn and is is a bit slower to work with then regular yarns but the effects are nice.
I have to finish up the partner to to latest potholder, finish the above scarf and start on the one for my daughter's friend...tonight. Busy, busy, busy!

Here we are on a Friday!
Alrighty then, I haven't posted since Monday but I have been crocheting!
I completed the second Christmas tree potholder and started a new skull one last night. I did 2 more hats for my Nephew, did another scarf for myself, did 2 bowls that I have to felt, worked on the pink baby blanket & started a new scarf! I have a few pictures.
Here are Riley's newest hats! I red one is called "tomato" because that's his favorite food! He thought it was very cool that I named it for him!
Here's the second scarf that I did for myself, I think I might have to whip some of these up for Christmas gifts! They are so soft & absolutely gorgeous with all of the different textures!
This is one I started last night! I love that I can go through my stash and throw colors together and come out with a scarf!
I will have pictures on Monday of the finished potholders and hopefully have the next set at least started!
Yeehaw, it's Friday!

Hats, hats, hats!
Well I didn't get any Christmas gifts done this weekend but I did get a bunch of hats done (6) for kids in my family! I made one innocently enough for my 4 yo nephew and then my Cousin was down visiting with her 3 kids, so well they each needed one too, and then I didn't want my Niece to feel slighted, so I made one for her and of course one for my Daughter! Lots of stash diving was done! No without further ado here they are in all of their glory:
Now these are the ones I did Saturday and Sunday. My Nephew was wearing blue and red this morning and asking for a blue hat with red stripes to match his clothes, so being the best Auntie ever I said yes and made this:
Hope the week is fun for all! Other then the fact that there are now only 3 weeks left until Christmas!!!! it should be great!

Fabulous Friday
Well here it is...another Friday and that means another weekend! I will be crocheting a lot this weekend to get some stuff caught up and finished! I started the second tree potholder, but befroe I started that I HAD to start a scarf! My Sister found a skinny scarf pattern from Lion Brand that used Homespun, Suede and Fancy Fur. Well seeing how hers was going, I just knew I was going to pull out some yarn and try my own! Here it is in all of it's glory:
It was fun to make with all of the different textures! I will be going through my yarn stash this weekend and making up more! Christmas gifts!!!
Happy Friday!
