Ok here I am again!

I'm back! I haven't been posted and I have no good reason! Track season is now over (that was a big part of my blogging neglect as well) I have been working on Andrew's blanket at meets and practice. I am now done with my Sweet Pea Shawl...yahoo! Here at last are the first ever pictures of it!

I love this yarn it was super easy to work with and the colors in it are lovely. I got it done in time for my Cousin's wedding next weekend as well. :)

Now that track is over I can get a lot
more projects started and hopefully finished! I have a stack of patterns I want to try and some Amigurami animals that I want to make, my own designs with any luck! No to mention that I haven't gone on a yarn buying spree in months!!! I also have to get back to my healthy eating habits again! Fast food and late night meals take a toll!

Monday Madness!

Well back the beginning of the week! I had a nice Mother's Day with my kids we just hung out together. Always a nice day for me! I got these from my kids (and Sister) My new sunglasses! And a side view: Cool, cool! Now I'm a hot mama!

Didn't get much crocheting done but that's ok I still have track practice for this week!

Hot Friday!

Yes I will be complaining about the heat! There is never just a happy medium in Southern California, it's either cold or hot!
Oh well on with the crocheting! I got another square done for Andrew's blanket! only 13 more to go! I also got another row done on my Sweet Pea Shawl so I am happy about that! Can't wait for it to be done so I can wear it! I hope it turns out as those pictured! Mine seems small??? Anyway that's about all the crochet stuff I have going and I have purchased no new yarn in weeks, what's the world coming to. Well it is Mother's Day this weekend so maybe I'll get myself a little gift...

Here is a picture of my new yarn that I ordered from Herrschners in progress for the Sweet Pea Shawl and a closeup (you can click for bigger!)
















I love this yarn! It's so easy to work with!! I do hope that the stitches will spread out once it's done as in the picture! I must say that the double treble stitch is interesting to do, that's a lot of wraps!

I did get another square done as well so I am making progress on both items right now. I work on the squares at swimming lessons and track practice and the shawl at night while watching TV.

It's Done!! 100%

I have finished my Well Traveled Bag! 100% completed and I am using it today! WOOHOO! I never thought I would get it completed, the cord took forever! I really want to make another bag in different colors, but I hated doing the cord! I am nopt overly fond of how the one I did turned out, but it's strong and matches.
This is filled with my super sized wallet and my cell phone and a few small things. I like the way it holds it's shape!
I didn't get the cord to felt like I would have liked it to, but it's my first try, so I deal with it!

Ok the yarn came from Herrschners! I'm so excited, I will be starting the shawl today!

I love the colors! I hope that I can get this done for my cousins wedding, June 3rd. It looks easy enough...but everyone knows that looks can be deceiving! I did get another square done for Andrew's blanket so now I'm up to 5 with 15 to go! Between my daughters track practice and meets and my nephew's swim classes, I am getting a fair amount of crocheting done!

Wow, I can't believe that I have no pictures again. I need to complete something (besides a square) to take a picture of!

I really want my new yarn to arrive to start on the Sweet Pea shawl! I did finally finish the cord for my well traveled bag, so I will try to get that done and take a picture of that!

Busy, busy!

That is what is going on! I guess I shouldn't expect less during Track season, but I just feel like I am always on the move! friday night was fine, nothing too bad, got some crocheting done and cleaned the house a bit, Track meet on Saturday though was a killer! It was the invitational and that means about 6 or 7 clubs from around the valley were there so that makes for an extra long meet! The sun broke through it's overcastness (new word) and by the afternoon it was hot, hot, hot! My poor daughter was exhausted waiting for shot put! I got a lovely sunburn even though I put sunblock on early because I have learned from the past that the overcast days will fry me fast! I did get 1 1/2 more squares done though! My sister's birthday is today (Happy BDay Sissy) and we had a party for her on Saturday night (yes after the long ass meet) but all went well. No drama (we are a family FILLED with drama at our get togethers of late!) so that made for a pleasant night.

Now for tonight I have to go to the store for school lunch stuff, take Katlyn to practice and manage some time in there to spend a second or two with my teenage boys! Oops, I forgot that tonight is Prison Break so I won't actually see them until after it's over because they don't talk to anyone from 8 to 9 on Monday nights!
